Seventies Rock

Seventies Rock

This section of the site will feature a broad mix of bands - from 60s 'Mod' icons the Who to emerging talents such as David Bowie, the Police, Elvis Costello, Dire Straits and the immortal Queen. Although many of these bands and solo artists draw from diverse influences, they remain the iconic legends of the Seventies Rock scene.

Here I'll bring together the talents of Queen, Thin Lizzy, Marillion, Wire, The Who and 'The Greatest Rock & Roll Band in the World' - the Rolling Stones. I've mixed them with the massive solo skills of Sting, Bryan Adams, and David Bowie to create a gallery of some of the most creative musicians that Rock has known.

The third decade of my Rock gallery will focus on newer talents such as Blur, Nirvana, Manic Street Preachers, INXS, The Cult, Lemonheads, Skunk Anansie, Def Leppard, Europe, Alanis Morisette, and Suede. However, matching them for enduring appeal are Ozzy Osbourne, Pink Floyd, Genesis, ZZ Top, Sting, and, on his nostalgic return to Liverpool's Cavern Club, Paul McCartney.

In 2003 Duran Duran dragged me out of my internet world and into the photo pit - since then I've shot my old friend Peter Frampton live and in the studio, and photographed a wealth of new bands such as Coldplay, Razorlight, Stereophonics, Prodigy, and Bloc Party. Some of the old rockers continued to perform, and I captured a few of them at Live 8, including Pink Floyd, U2, Sting, and The Who.
