I took this picture of Charlie in the coffee shop of the Hyatt hotel in Nice as we prepared to board the bus to the airport. Along with his daughter Seraphina and the rest of the band, we were waiting for Keith and Ronnie to travel from The Negresco, their hotel half a mile along the road. It was a long wait! The prolonged delay wasn't wasted - Charlie used this picture as the cover for the 1986 'Live At Fulham Town Hall' recording of the Charlie Watts Orchestra. |
