This shot of Bill Wyman and Ian Stewart was taken at Keith Richards’ birthday party in Vienna. Ian, who sadly died in 1985, was one of the founder members of the Stones but always shunned the limelight. He was a true ‘musician’s musician’ – a keyboard virtuoso who was as happy to play jazz in a small, smoky club as he was to perform on stage with Mick and the boys. |
